Remortgages
   

    For Capital raising on a mortgage free property ONLY home
    mover products can be used.
    These cases are not eligible for the Halifax Remortgage Service.

    Maximum Loan: for Remortgage is 95%
                  for Capital raising is 95%
                  for second home loans and expatriate mortgage
                  scheme is 75%

    Remortgage Service

    Remortgage applications will be processed using the Halifax
    Remortgage Service.  This service is only for remortgages on
    property in the UK.  It is not available if your client has an
    existing Halifax PLC mortgage.  The Remortgage service is not
    available on property in the Isle of Man.

    We will pay our conveyancer's legal fees, any registration
    fees and, if your client's property is leasehold, your
    client's landlord's fees for answering our conveyancer's
    enquiries.  Your client will have to pay any fees their
    existing lender may change them in connection with repaying
    their current mortgage.  These include your clients existing
    lender's conveyancer's fees if their existing lender does not
    allow our conveyancer to act for them too.

    We will arrange a property assessment that will concentrate
    on points we need to know.  A copy of the assessment will
    not be issued.

    Capital raising on shared ownership remortgages is not permitted
